| I've decided to take today off from all of the running around Melissa and I have been doing this week, so I've decided to go take my driving test tomorrow. I needed to sleep in today. :D Tomorrow I'm taking my driving test and getting my nails done. I can't wait till this week is over, I'm seriously beyond busy, didn't think that could happen, but it can. I got to go see Trevor on Monday. :D That made me happy. I'd missed him too much. I'm also going to see him on Saturday at his oldest brother, Jeremy's, wedding. It's a very relaxed wedding. Everyone's going to be in shorts and t-shirts or tank tops. Hawaiian shirts are preferred. And the bride and groom will be in their swim suits. Talk about a Luaou!!! I believe the ladies are going to be given grass skirts or something like that. But yeah, we're gonna have some fun!!! :D Sandycakes | | |
| I feel ready for my driving test, aside from the fact that I need to practice parallel parking. :/ Still nervous about that one. Hopefully, with some more practice on that, I'll be just fine. I drove home last night from work in my mom's Isuzu. Man did that feel weird! It's an SUV, I've been driving a little sedan type car for the longest time, being so high up above the ground was really weird. My mom thought it was weird too, having me drive instead of her. Lolz. I'm not so sure which one I like better, the Kia Spectra, or the Isuzu Rodeo. I think I like the Kia more just cause I'm more used to driving it rather than the Rodeo. But I can't be scared of driving forever, you know? I need to get my license and be a big girl. I prefer to get my license before the end of this month, Friday actually, cause that's when Melissa leaves to go to Hutto, Tx. After she's gone, the only one who can take me is my mom. I'll probably end up making her late for work if she does take me cause she has to be in the office at 8:30am, and I believe the DPS opens at 8:00am. The wait alone, let alone my driving test, could take up the whole thirty minutes. Plus, she'll still have to drive me back home. As far as me getting the job at Alshall, all we're waiting for, and by "we" I mean my mother, current administrative assistant/bid coordinator/project coordinator; Linda, accountant; and Basil, Office Manager, are waiting on an OK to hire anyone from Rabbie, the owner. He's told the previously mentioned three people that they cannot hire anyone as of yet. We're speculating that it's because he feels he can't afford another employee until they bid on some more projects, well they can't bid on any more projects because they don't have enough people to be assigned to them. So my mom was thinking of telling Basil and Linda to go to Rabbie and suggest that I come on for only part time for a bit, then it'll be easier for them to make me full time. Who knows. If it's meant to be, it'll happen. I hope it is though cause it sounds like a great opportunity for me. Sandycakes | | |
| So I've semi been offered a job at my mom's company. Her job. Administrative Assistant/Bid Coordinator for Alshall Construction. She's going to be moved up to Project Coordinator. I'll be making $10/hr, an hour lunch break every day. 8:30am-5:30pm hours every day. My wage is actually a sallary based on hourly pay, if that makes sense. Basically I'll be making $400 a week. And since I get paid every two weeks now, my checks will be $700 and something, after taxes. My pay check will be exactly the same every two weeks so I won't have to tip toe over how much I'm going to be paid and all of that. It sounds pretty nice. And we go out to eat a lot, people bring in cake a lot, it's going to be great! If I'm offered it that is. Basil came up with the idea, he's the Office Manager and he's never met me before, but every one else in the office, aside from the Owner, Rabie, has met me, and they love me. All that's left is he has to sugest his idea to Allam and Rabie. I'm sure Allam will go with it cause he's met me twice now and he likes me too, and Rabie loves my mom and he's probably going to go with it cause it'll save the company time and money in the long run since they're not interviewing me and twenty other people, and he's going to assume the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, that I'll work like my mom does. In edition to that, I've been driving a lot lately with my friend Melissa, and she seems to think I'm ready for my driving test. I hope so. I do need to work on parking, and I need to work on parallel parking. Meanwhile, Trevor's going to fix the car behind Nana and Papa's house and use it for a while. | Things aren't too bad, they could definately be worse though. Trevor and his brother and his brother's fiancee have all been evicted as of Friday. For the time being he's going to stay with his Nana until we find an apartment for the two of us. My mom sugested that we stay in the same apartment complex I'm in now and just live on the other side of it with Trevor. What do you think? Would that be a good idea? Trevor and I have both agreed upon getting an apartment instead of a trailor. Where, we're not sure. Lewisville, Denton, and Carrollton are the places we've decided we're considering. So the plan now is for me to get my license and my car and then us go look at apartments together and agree upon something. But that could be by October. :/ Since I have until September 28th to go get my license. So I definately need to practice driving ASAP!!! I have two weeks to take my driven test, and pass it. :/ Sandycakes | | |
